Project WOW (Wagner Online with Wessington Springs) provides a comprehensive, customized professional development experience for to rural South Dakota schools - Wagner and Wessington Springs. By collaborating with a partner school distirct, teachers will learn and experience the same 21st Century tools and skills they will need to know in order to teach students to be productive and responsive learners that can succeed in a competitive world.
The vision of this project is to guide teachers toward a technology enriched environment in which they are implementing 21st Century Skills in their classroom every day. Using existing technologies in the schools, techers will be able to review, critique, revise, and enhance lesson plans to further engage students and increase student achievement. In addition, teachers will participate in online learning communities as they engage in a collaborative processs for reflective practice to increase their own capacity for integrating technology
